National Geographic Channel: Hunt for the Giant Squid

In 2011, we embarked on a ambitious project to try and film the Giant Squid for National Geographic Channel.  The show was based on the principle that the Giant Squid has one of the largest eyes in the animal kingdom. They are adapted to see bioluminescence in the deep ocean so I helped develop a camera that would be able to detect bioluminescent light at depths of 500m. We travelled the globe recording bioluminescence of many kinds.
